I think the train is the wg-1.

I've been switching back and forth between it & the optio w60, trying to figure out which i like better. Sometimes the wg-1 is better and sometimes it's a lot worse.

@Bart: it would have been better with a train, at the expense of a camera remember the lyrics of "up to my neck in you" from AC/DC ?

I'm afraid it's my latest entry. I can't see anything else fitting the theme.
...
I've been up to my neck on the railroad track
Waitin' for the train
To cruise on through
Well baby my time is due
...

Quite some trains/tracks in this competetion.

Canon PowerShot A720 IS
Great interpretation of the theme!

GT- I really like how the depth of field turned on on your pic - slightly out of focus on the rail with everything else in focus.

I should comment on everyone else's as well - many were quite good, but I'm brain fried currently.

I think any of our pics fit the theme this month, they all show the progress we've made as photographers.

I'm late, I'm late...

@Bart: Exactly - though I did not think of this one when I took this.

@Catriona: I have no clear memory. I think I was careful not to let the focus being took on the rail. I guess I was in P mode as usual, perhaps within the "landscape" focus mode. You get it, that's rather a matter of luck. I was on a hurry.

I have two more entries:

This morning on my way to work... "the line of cars drove down slow" (Radar Love). 200 ISO, 1/4s. Driving around 40MPH

Progress and its price: high voltage pylons. 800 ISO (I discover it while writing, I'm surprised), 1/50s.
Both with an Optio P80. Both are "raw", from the camera. No PP, no cropping.

The iso on this photo was outrageous 1600. I forgot to change it from the other night. Yelp!

Server Error on my website has caused my photos to diappear. I have tried posting my other social media links (diviantart and tumblr) but still no can see! I am sorry to have to do this but I am putting a link for each photo.. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, please tell me.

An all too familiar site lately

I don't really mind pylons. they can give interesting lines (and power of course)

I also think they have quite a look, but I have to say they sometimes break a landscape or a perspective. There I had a spot to take them all, parallels...
Now I think that's a piece of engineering: these steel lattices hold high voltage lines for decades.

Frission, I think you entered a nice set.

Last one for me, Canon A720 IS.

It's hard to tell from the photo but these Trumpeter swans are swimming. Their webbed feet are huge and they can move very rapidly. The larger male has slowed for a drink.
