My I-10, First Shots

Well, here we go. It's been a long time since I used a P + S, but the little I-10 caught my eye, looking nearly like the tiny 110 film slr, which seemed like an engineering marvel to me, at the time.
So, a holiday gift to myself, for those times when you just can't take an SLR and the "extras" that make it so versatile but bulky, too.
It's been mainly cold and snowy here since New Years, with a couple of nice days mixed in. Here's the first shots.

Nothing wrong with those, nice color, good detail on the "leaf in snow" shot. How's the focus/shutter lag on the I-10? That's the main thing my better half complains about with our P&S. Thanks for posting.

Still Learning!

Hello to Spenz, Elho Cid + Blackcloudbrew, thanks for the feedback!
Spenz, I was suprised by the resolution in the close-up of the leaf, also. A 100% crop still holds up pretty well.
I have noticed the shutter lag, but can't figure out exactly when or why it occurs, it seems random. Sometimes it clicks right away, other times it's painfully slow.
Coming from an SLR + DSLR background, I'm used to having the camera do what I want (even if it's wrong!), not having a mind of it's own.
But these are just the first steps and I hope things will improve as I learn all the functions and options.
The color rendition is good so far, especially on the sunset photos. They seemed to mirror the actual scene well. But with the high ISO the camera selects (I assume it matches the ISO to an acceptable hand-held shutter speed) there's a lot of noise evident in the crops.
I have to keep reminding myself that a "grainy" photo is better than no photo at all. I wouldn't have had my DSLR with me at the time of that brilliant sunset, I was on my way home from work.

The I10 looks pretty similar in style to the Q.
