I was reading #50 "Progression" theme contests posts (last page) about the rules. Some of the members stated they thought heavy processing, (e.g. HDR, stitching), should be excluded from the contest. Heavy processing is not in line with "point & shoot" and overcomes the limitations of small sensors and fixed lenses."

I did not put anything in the rules that would exclude processing. I am open to post processing and as this month's judge I am looking for photos that stick to the theme
"Something in the Water" and are creative. I am not looking at the technical end or fancy post production to pick my winners. I hope this clears up the confusion on this matter. If there are any problems with this send me a smoke signal.

I'm a firm believer in the one rule to rule them all: "Winner sets the rules for the next contest".
So, it's all up to you, frission

My 2nd one, but may change this and the first out for what I think is better as the
month is still young, even though I am not!

Gorgeous Bart.

You just have just made this extremely hard for me. About 80% of my pics have something in the water in them. So now I can't pick

Nice capture chubasco. You're right... the month is young and I can see the writing on the wall already!!! None of you are going to make it easy on me!!!!!!

Immmunogirl I'm looking forward seeing what you'll post.

Yes, Bart, agreed and I think the winner setting the rules makes the contests a challenge. Pushes me to learn new ways of taking photos.

Ivoire if you post your 3 entries I can manage not to make you a winner. Your photos always inspire me and I'm sure that can be said of most people who come here. Please reconsider posting to #51 point and shoot "Something in the Water" with the promise you're safe from another month of judging.

I almost had the swan on my knees. These animals, as for the duck below, are far too used to humans.

Catriona, nice submissions. I thought of you when I saw the theme, knowing you'd have to make a choice
The goldfishes are amazing.

Thanks guys! I rather like the fish myself.

G.T... I still haven't decided on a third, that's going to be a hard one.
