+1, some great entries, indeed, and nice to see Ivoire is participating with some excellent XZ1 pix, too.

audiobomber.... thats such a unique entry. looks like an aerial infrared photo or growing crystals or snow flakes.

chubasco.... thats the closest thing to suspended in air leaves (know they are in water). at first glance i thought you must have been hiding in the tree tops to shoot it

Thanks Bart and ivoire. I like way too many of these entries to quote on individual photos, or even photographers. I would not like to have to judge, so many interesting photos.

This island is in the water, you just can't see the water because it's under a foot of ice. Canon A720 IS:

Ivoire, thanks for your comment, this is promising to be another great contest!

I may still change my mind on my entries, lots of time left in the month.

chubasco, really like the contrast of the dead brown over the living green. and the 2 levels of course - on and in the water.

Dan, a very serene scene. One could state that the ice is a thing in the water as well Nice twist.

Here are 3 of mine... Not necessarily "super" shots as far as image quality, but they have been keepers for me!

From my old Canon A80, a shot of our friend Bill cleaning out the penguin's tank at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha

From the Canon A80 also, my wife crossing the Big Thompson River on horseback in Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park

From my new Olympus XZ-1, a nice starfish photo I got a few weeks ago at about 25 ft depth in Puget Sound

Thanks - I only had a few halfway decent shots from that dive, but since it was my first UW try I was happy enough (and I learned a few things so next time will hopefully be better). Next week I should have something new - got 3 dives coming up on Sunday.

Ivoire beautiful and masterful photos... I noted that you will not participate in this month's theme but I'm delighted that you submitted.
Confession> I am worried that there are so many photos deserving to win! What to do...what to do!?
Audiobomber, what clever entries you have for "Something in the Water" theme. Chubasco brilliant capture of the leaves. Love the contrast and colors. Kudos to RoxnDon. Photo #3 is definitely my favorite. You all make this a difficult competition to judge but keep em coming because I enjoy admiring them all.

So, perhaps an underwater self-portrait.

Which under water housing do you have for your Olympus XZ-1. I was reading up on your camera and was impressed with the photos it takes in/under water. I don't know if there are other water cases but here is one of the sites on the under water housing.> Olympus PT-050 Underwater Housing Review | wex photographic

Hello!

Perhaps it's time to enter my third... although not very original, it is a "fresh" shot, took a dozen of days ago. I've then been too lazy to transfer it until now.
