I'm jumping in right away with all 3 entries. Not well at the moment and no idea when I will be able to get out next... all from the archives and all shot with the Olympus XZ-1

1) Tiny Fish. Boosted contrast, clarity and levels here. Those little fishies were really hard to see. When I took the shot a week or so back, I didnt even know if I got them at all.

2) Salad Vegies (well the celery and radish, anyway) which I was washing and soaking in the sink, before refrigerating.

3) Reflections of cloud and trees in a local pond. And yes, the water is that revolting muddy colour.

chubasco and kyteflyer got things going for #51 p&s. Wow you guys are fast!
chubasco, Monte Sano reminds me of Wikiva Springs. Beautiful place to canoe.
Kyteflyer, sorry to hear you are not doing well. I hope you are feeling better soon and are out and about with your camera.

So far... we have reflections trees, fish, food and loads of mud in our water. What next?

I'm always on the lookout for the shots that strike my sense of humor just right, so my first shot will be from the archives. We were at Nags Head, NC on a charter boat heading out into the sound when I saw this:

Excellent news, kyteflyer. There's something about getting out and doing what we love that helps us recover faster. Looking forward seeing your creative mind at work.

Finding those rare humorous moments are great and you have found that in "Maximum Draft." Not only is it funny but it tells a story about the man in the boat. I am curious. Did other people on your charter boat take photos of this man fishing for a family of four? lol This is why carrying a camera everywhere is so important. How could anyone not p&s at that? Your photo of the flowers, also, tells a story. . . was "Saying Goodbye" a funeral at sea?

What a great start from chubasco, kyteflyer and jheu02. All are wonderful entries and it makes me excited to see all the creative photos that will be submitted this month. You all are bound to make this a difficult contest to judge.

Yes, a scattering of ashes with the flowers thrown in by family members.
