Wonderful, Catriona. Gives a bit of a feeling of 'last person on the earth'.

Also very good, John. And you're quite right. The things you find at the beach!

Yes, I'm in trouble

Great, keep them coming people!
Not even halfway in the month.

Great images from all! I'm sitting this one out due to cataract surgery.... will continue to view from a one eye at a time perspective

Today, and as my third (and last, until I withdraw one) entry, I wanna be an anarchist off-topic.

Remember the first lines of Gimme Shelter ? Remember the end of the music video for November rain ? (at least its short version)

Got this one: there was a fair, and as a thunderstorm began dropping a heavy rain and hail, the square was abandoned. At the back you can see people getting some shelter.
Camera: as usual.

Works very well, G.T!

The abandonment is inevitable.
Only a 'special' character would go "singing in the rain"

Hope you are doing fine, ivoire!
A colleague of mine had this done fairly recently and he is extremely happy with the result.

Great entries so far.

Ivoire, best of luck with the cataract surgery. Your entries in these contests were excellent for someone who couldn't see. I fear there will be no stopping you now!

Went out for a walk with the XZ-1 today and found this. Not a official entry but i thought i would exercise the newly created right eye.

My brother just had cataract surgery too, about 6 weeks out - he is absolutely delighted with his newly restored vision... :-) May your luck be as good as his!

Some nice photos so far, and this is the first time in many months that I have the time and a photo to enter.

It's a film shot:

Camera - Ricoh FF-20 - a 35mm fixed lens zoom (32-64mm) circa mid 1990's
Film - Kodak BW400CN
Exposure - unknown
Costco developed and scanned (sigh)
Postprocessing with GIMP

Taken very early morning with Canon S95. Strangely the little S95 is, perhaps, my best low light camera.
