I should mention that I cheated with # 2 and used a dSLR.

Bart, love the tea light in front of the mirror.

Ivoire, that ad is great, I love the colors.

Be still my beating heart, color from Bart...

The curves of the candle holder in combination with the amorphous shape of the candle work well together, draws the eye in.

I'm annoyed: I had nothing but a set of candles. And I still have nothing really fitting the theme.
Before I come to turn a lighter on, slightly off-topic:

... because, after all, in an incandescent bulb, it's almost a flame at any time

Creative? This definitely does NOT apply to me

BTW, Optio P80, set of 3 or 5 exposures (I really can't remember), merged using Photomatix.

Hope, you don't mind if I join in. I've had this FZ150 Panasonic since Christmas and I've had fun trying out all the different options. The marble lampwork demostration was at our local festival this last weekend and I took the camera out for a spin. It was taken at ISO 800, 1/400 sec, F4.6 and at 89.9 mm.

Thanks, Bart! Glad to join in on the fun. I have enjoyed seeing all the great entries so far and after more study (where did that user manual go to anyway) I might attempt another shot.

User manuals are for sissies, real men don't read those.

Chemtest - great entry.

GT - your electric flames certainly give off the illusion of candlelight.

You have no idea what it is like to just intuitively "know" how things work and operate.
It ranks right up there with never having to ask directions because we instinctively "know" how to get anywhere.

Being a man is just so awesome. Sigh.
