Hey, this girl pleads the 5th. I freely admit I consult the manual (if all else fails and no one is watching that is).

This weekend was... or is, as it ends in 15 minutes, LeMans 24. Despite the late withdrawal of the Peugeot team, in circumstances I won't explain here, this edition brought, "as usual" its load of emotions and entertainment.
It might be another victory for Audi, but among the pictures or race facts, was Brian Vickers's car taking fire presumably after a hard impact in the Esses, in the beginning of the lap (just between the Dunlop chicane and the Tertre Rouge, a pretty tight right curve opening on the Mulsanne straight).

Great reporting shot, G.T!

I hope the driver got out ok.

This pic isn't mine... I would have loved to, though (but I'd have used a DSLR, then).
The "2" on the right hand corner is a part of the "24" kind of stamp which tells it's an official photo. The driver got out with no injuries, and even managed to reach the pits (this was taken in the pitlane). The car was fixed and has finished the race (I've just had a look), ranked 31st. And finishing a 24-hours race is already a kind of victory.

You have 10 days to spot some flames. Or get creative & realize that that sun in the sky is a great big ball of flames.

I snapped at some flames last week while we were at a hotel in Rancho Mirage California. (Rancho Las Palmas Resort).. Disclaimer: I got heavy handed with the pp... I have a hard time resisting that tendency at times...

Also had a hard time picking just three since they are all about the same, but here they are.. I am pretty solid about the first one but may still swap out the other two.. Here are the rest in case you're bored and/or want to suggest some swapping out...
