I have something...

As usual, Optio P80.
There's a flame on it!

A cozy candlelight, kyteflyer.

Good thinking G.T and ivoire!

For my third entry, I took a less literal interpretation.

the sun, a flame

Thanks, Bart & Ivoire. You made nice entries, too.
I had nothing but a set of candles, and flames these days are not so common, moreover it's been really rainy these last weeks here.
The blue flame was the former logo for GDF (Gaz de France), the national, government-owned gas network operator. This landmark indicates the position of an underground gas pipe.

There is some very nice entries since I was here last! I like your last one too, Angus Magus. I wish I had skills to do that sort of thing. I have been trying for two days to "fix" a solar elipse pic with a patch from another of the series
I do have another entry just for fun. It was a fireworks shot that went wrong and I got to playing in Corel paint shop with effects.......

Thanks for the kind comments you have all made about my entries, but there are a lot of good pics submitted for this contest. Not going to be easy to judge.
I really like your Paintshop composition, Chemtech.

Actually, I found photographing a flame unbelievably difficult. Ended up in "M" making about 15 shots at different settings to get what I wanted.

Most shots with point light sources and the like are very tough. Shooting a decent picture of the moon, for example, is very difficult to get right unless you're doing Full-Manual with a digital camera.

I may be the Famous FIlm Fanatic (tm), but there are times I think Digital is a godsend.

That said, I have 2 new point-and-shoot-eligible film cameras, so I'm trying to work them into the competition!
