Pentax MX battery?

I read that it uses the S76 battery for the light meter. However I cannot find this battery for sale online anywhere, can someone point it out to me? Thanks!

good chance you can find it in drugstores and watch stores if you don't have a camera store handy. also known as sr44 (not lr44)

Actually you can find these all over the place - the problem is that they go by so many different designations.

The following Wikipedia article lists some different names, for both the alkaline and silver oxide versions:

You might even have some of these sitting in an unused pocket calculator in a drawer somewhere.

just make sure to get the silver oxide version, it's far longer lasting

+1 on the 2x LR44, you will have a just as hard time finding SR44's (or so it is in Australia).
Just remember you need too stacked two of these one on top of the other and you get the same 3v (this would also apply if you did find SR44's).
