Good enough review, but I think the lack of manual settings is reaching out. Don't know of any P&S cameras(Canon G series excluded) that offer manual control like is being expected.

Agreed, manual controls are probably not found on any compact, rugged camera. I was trying to describe my experience using the camera, and that was definitely something that I found difficult to work around. Even just a shutter speed mode would be awesome. It would be nice to manually select 1/1000 for action shots or 1/60 for panning/motion blur shots, assuming that the camera can work with ISO and aperture to get proper exposure.
