As a long-time user of a Ricoh GS 100, I am delighted to see a forum for Ricoh users here. Ricoh camera users represent a small, but eclectic niche and I believe will fit-in well with Pentax users.
Although noise is an issue above 200 asa, it can be handled with experience and the image quality with the Ricoh zoom lens throughout its range (5.1mm-15.3mm f2.5-f4.4) is superb. Shake reduction works well and I find the optional flash mounted viewfinder a real help in bright light. Its small size and simple well-placed controls make it ideal for use as a walk-around street photography camera. As eddy 1960 says in the GXR/GRD thread, there are no dealers in Canada, but this may change.
