I have been trying to resist the $400 k01's with the 40xs lenses.

I didn't resist the f2.8 16-50.

Barondola - I love the contrast between the water & the barbed wire.

Great, barondla! Beautiful colours.

Catriona, splendid!

I think you will have the next competition on your hands as well
Nowhere in the rules does it state that the judge can't participate
So...

@ Immunogirl
I fully agree with Bart
You have posted three absolutely stunning photographs Catriona. They are prize examples to show those who belittle compact, point & shoot cameras as toys that its not just about the camera but more the skill of recognising a potentially great shot and the ability to capture it.
They deserve to be printed poster size and mounted on your wall!

My walls are covered already & those don't count as entries

The waterproof point & shoots are actually really terrible cameras.

todd - love the escalator shot, except I want to scold him and warn him that he's gonna get sliced up and sucked into the escalator. I also very much like the 4th & 5th shots... Although it reminds me that I don't really like palm trees and am not sure why they plant them everywhere in California?

Immunogirl, think of the K-01 this way. It and a Q together cost less than either camera did by themselves at launch. Kind of a buy one get one free sale. Doesn't happen often in the camera world.

thanks for the kind words on my picture

Immunogirl, those are great shots. Love how hte horizon just about disappears on the first one. And that sunset on hte third one - Oh My Gawd... I bet that was just an awe-inspiring sight out on the water.

Todd

The 1st shot is neat and the 3rd shot is really cool, but I think I like the 2nd shot the best.
