Seriously, I love the second one - sunrise with the twist.

Immunogirl, those are great shots. Love how hte horizon just about disappears on the first one. And that sunset on hte third one - Oh My Gawd... I bet that was just an awe-inspiring sight out on the water.

Jim

I was camping on a chickee (basically a wooden deck out in the water as there's no dry land) on the everglades for that 3rd one - the sunset just kept intensifying.

Immunogirl, think of the K-01 this way. It and a Q together cost less than either camera did by themselves at launch. Kind of a buy one get one free sale. Doesn't happen often in the camera world.

I know - it's a great deal, but i have a k-30. Somewhere around here, I hope I have a k-7 with 3 of my lenses, but I haven't been able to find it in a couple months and I'm kinda convinced it must've been taken. I'm usually pretty paranoid about my camera.

So getting the 16-50 f2.8 to upgrade the 16-45 that's missing was a higher priority than the k-01. I'm also missing my 35mm pentax macro, which was a lens I absolutely loved... If I replace that, the 40mm xs won't make much sense. I'd like to grab that 50-135mm f2.8 while I'm at it, but I don't think that's very fiscally responsible of me...

Maybe your cameras are like some of mine, they have merely moved into another bag at the house. I lose things at times then find them that way. So many bags. Left a camera in the kayak once and it took forever to find. I have a 16-45 but don't think it came from your house to visit. Lol. The 16-50 is a worthy iq upgrade over the 16-45.

Hope you find your equipment.
Love your beautiful images

I know what bag it's in - I just can't find it!

And. I was bad. I just caved on the k-01:

That was a price I couldn't ignore.

I keep my waterproof camera clipped to my pfd when I'm kayaking. The dslr lives in a pelican case.

Hrm. it keeps breaking my link. copy & paste it.

Totally understand immunogirl. Working on a yellow K-01 kit myself. Have shot a couple -it is a good camera. Even matches the boat. Not that I would use it there. Enjoy it.
thanks

It's not much... found this one in some old vacation photos... I didn't get a chance to actually go out and take a picture, so this will have to do.
This is a series of shots from the Optio S pasted together to form one large panoramic (resized here of course).... Echo Lake.

Awesome panorama Fastback - nice fall colors. That might even be a tiny little kayak I spot.

There's still 1 day left to make my life even more difficult!

The little building on the lakeshore is where you can grab a Kayak or a Canoe for the afternoon, so you may be right.

Well, it is that time of year... and I do have another tree sitting here right next to me... so... why not.

I used my Pentax X-70 for this shot.... it was next to me and the battery was charged.
