Entry # 1

Hello Everyone! Some nice shots so far, interesting subject.
Here's my first entry, titled "Downtown Silhouette"
Taken literally a few seconds before sunrise last week. Camera is a Pentax Optio I-10, 8.5mm (equ. 47mm) f/4.6, 1/50s, ISO 100.
I was out at my favorite "sunrise" location west of downtown Denver with the DSLR, tripod and gear. I decided to try a couple of shots with the Optio, just resting it on a fence post at 1/50s.

The Dark Side!

Thanks Sue, Bart + Nuff, I appreciate it!
Sue, your photos are great, my favorite is the sunrise, those colors!
Bart, very nice work, I like the B + W bridge shot best.
This month's subject is definitely a challenge!

another really old one. Shot just before dawn in June 2007, when this boat was washed ashore during a particularly nasty storm. Olympus C760uz

You are too fast, Bart. I was about to delete it. It was too noisy, too crappy even for a guy like me.

That is your prerogative of course, G.T but I really like the image.

Personally, I have nothing against grain/noise and it does convey a feel of night and thus darkness.

I shot a roll of 120 last night on the campus of the college where I work using my Kodak Tourist. I'm going to soup it later this week and see what I got.
