Great starter, ivoire!

Wonderful set, Catriona!
Especially the last one for me.

Thanks Bart. that's probably my only entry as i'm leaving for goa end of January for 3 weeks and then to Delhi for a 10 day wedding festival. I will most likely be out of touch til mid march

Immunogirl.... your 'frozen howling dog' pic looks like a winner!
It was a bit of a challenge to find water as the main focus...

I had one other frozen sculpture but the background was a bit too cluttered I think, even though there were more interesting patterns with the light reflecting on the ice:

What? You didn't pick the black & white?

Are you feeling okay?

Seems like really interesting prospects, ivoire.

"I am operating within normal parameters"

No, I really like the delicate colours and the minimalistic image.

In any form...

Well, I know of three forms of water

Rolling in

Summer-evening clouds

Eye in ice

All with Panasonic FX500 (& some processing Last one is B&W )

On the subject of processing, there is still another 'contest' going on, waiting for some more participants

Catriona, I like your second pic.
Bart, not only because I love the sea, I like your first. It has colours which would make me think of an Instamatic, something somewhat cheap and really film-like photograph, but still not a Lomo (errr.. wondering... keep the idea of the Lomo).

I just realized Ivoire gave a start with a driving picture. Oh, I may like this kind of fog, droplets running along the airflow...
That was a while since my latest mirror shoot.

Nokia 500. Further details available.

Well, we seem to off to a good start here, nice shots from everyone... including the judge!
My current favorites thus far are Cat's ice sculptures and Barts "Rolling In" shot.

Hey G.T... I was thinking Lomo myself when I saw that image.... it's Really Cool!

Here's one of mine... This one was taken with my Pentax X70. It's an early morning shot taken at sea, 300 miles off the coast of Virginia. The shot was taken in February on the North Atlantic. Those little waves you see are actually 12-15 foot seas. I was 60-70 feet above the water when I took the shot. It was one of those "you had to be there" moments.

Nice pic.
You named it "smoke on the water". Incidentally, Claude Nobs (founder of Montreux jazz festival "On the Lake Geneva shoreline"), the famous "Funky Claude" in that Deep Purple's hit, died this week.

Bart - GT's right about that timeless quality to your 1st pic, I'm not sure I'd call it from a cheap camera though

GT - the contrast between modern storefronts and old buildings in the mirror is very cool...

FAstback - great image, I want to kayak that
