Nice entries, Bart... "Everything looks better in B&W"
And I confess I like la Defense, too.

Cool shots so far, I like all of them. Love the covered bridge, but you know I always wonder why?

Here's my first. Still looking for more. (car has become too unreliable at the moment to go anywhere bridges actually exist, so am hitting the archives yet again)

Beautiful scene, Sue.
Somewhat minimalistic.

Thanks, Bart, I like minimal. Still trying to track down more bridges. I've got photographs scattered far and wide across 4 drives. Spending time consolidating. I've found another, but sadly, taken with the K-5. Oh well. I might have one taken with a superzoom somewhere.

[edit] or not. Here's the Sydney Harbour Bridge (on it, from the inside of a moving train). Ricoh GRDIII

Nice one Sue!

Digging thru the archives myself...

Deception Pass bridge, Washington, with my old Canon Powershot A80 (4mp, great little thing, wish it was still alive...), and an old bridge across the Missouri River (Fort Benton, Montana), with some cool armor-plating and inverted ice-breaker piers to prevent damage from the annual ice break-up...

Jim

Great sense of movement, Sue.

Jim, great scene and perspective!
I especially like your 3rd entry.

Thanks I should really make myself travel back up there with a better camera, and try to recapture that view minus all the purple fringing and blown-out skies... And maybe take the kayak up and shoot the channel at max tidal flow!

Love yours, Jim, esp the old bridge. We had one of those but instead of repairing it they just got rid of it and now its a boring modern bridge with no character.

Finally found the one I wanted!

Unfortunately, I no longer have the original. This was one I had parked at imageshack until recently. Might have to get back to Sydney, to do it again.

Foreground is the Pyrmont Bridge, in the middle the old Iron Cove Bridge and Sydney Harbour Bridge in back. Originally shot with an Olympus Mju1210, I would do it with the GRD3 next time, to get a wider view.

Thanks. I could have perfected it a bit more, but after a point, I just decided to let it stand.
