Point & Shoot Competition #63 - Bridges

Point & Shoot Competition #63 - Bridges

The Rules

1. HAVE FUN!

2. HAVE FUN!

As stated in the Title... Bridges will be the theme for this months competition.
As usual, the word "Bridge" is open to interpretation.

The simplest interpretation...

Bridges. That is a nice theme, I hope I'll have something interesting to post someday.
For the moment, here's my first entry:

I think I'm not off topic

altopiet, thanks for reminding me!

GT : Nice shot! I like the way the lines work in this image. If you have no preconceived knowledge or perception of where the lines are coming from, you are free to look at the image in a different way. Free to create your own interpretation. It's very cool!

Oh, I'm conscious that picture doesn't show anything obvious or clear, even, to most of us.
That's a part of the cables supporting the road deck of the Pont de Normandie.

GT- I like the lines. Abstract.

I'll probably change my mind later & pick other bridges, but for right now all of these will work - with a pentax optio w60:

Roddy Road Covered Bridge:

Watkin's Glen:

And 'cause there had to be a kayak in here somewhere:
Rock Creek:

Samsung EX1

Zubizuri Bridge, Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain.

EXIF data is preserved in the picture. Processing done with LR3 and shadows were brought up more than I'm used to in order to give some definition to the features of the bridge in the relative shadow areas.

More info here

I gathered as much.
I passed it once. Still get the shakes when I think back on it

Beautiful entries, Catriona!
That covered bridge is really"America".

Great composition, snake!

Catriona, you already have a nice set of bridges.

Bart, you possibly know there's a footpath along the bridge. I walked to the apex (about 60m - 185ft) above the Seine, and I really felt the deck buffeting under the wind gusts.
Now I shall find other bridges to complete my set.

Wow, things are heating up here already!

Catriona is obviously appealing to my wild nature with those first two shots.
Snake... I love a great perspective, and those sweeping angles. Cool!
Bart... That last shot is great! There's just so much to look at, and the contrasting textures!

Moi?
Thank you, Anton.

But really, I just prefer b&w because colours are too difficult
