You guys are kill'n me.

OK, I moved the chairs a bit for the pic... Next time I'll be sure to brush out the divot's first.
Better yet, I'll PS them out of there and repost.

P.S.: That canopy shot is a real beauty Ivoire, well done!
The chairs, table and chess pieces are classic. Really beautiful set.

Thank You!

The picture really does not do it any justice, it was taken under very poor lighting conditions. It's actually part of a bedroom set believe it or not... very old, very ornate.

Preparing for St Patrick's Day...
Pentax X70

Last edited by Fastback67; 03-17-2013 at 08:44 AM. Reason: Audiobomber said it needed a bottle of Redbreast.

That's a great way to decorate a table, just needs a bottle of Redbreast.

Yes, and perhaps a bottle of Jamesons as well

I have an entry and a not-an-entry

MY ENTRY:

Shot with Sony RX100, Aperture Priority, 10.4mm -0.3 EV F/11 1/30s ISO2500. A paper weight, deliberately backlit by a diffuse light source (sitting on an inverted clear ice bucket with a napkin as a diffuser and my phone's flashlight shining up from below.)

NOT AN ENTRY NOT AN ENTRY WARNING WARNING

RX100 again, 20.9mm, f/3.5 1/60s ISO 2000. Shot on valentines day, but I wanted to share cause it fits the theme even though it isn't shot this month.

I like them both, especially the first one. Well done!

Wonderful setting and light, Mike!

And one of my old time favourites: Irish Mist

Great entrie(s), Erik! Like them both I must say.

Nice shot Catriona.... Did you try kayaking down the slopes, that could be fun!

P.S. Changed my second image... added the bottle of Redbreast.
I have about 14 people coming over for a St Patty's dinner today, so I'd better get to it.

When I got done playing with the setup for that one, I looked at my final image and said, "That's very Ivoiresque." I'm glad you like it!

Thank you! Though as I said the second one isn't an official entry unless i'm awarded special dispensation.

I almost bought a flat-cap in Annapolis. I have several hats I wear, including a clutch of baseball caps, but I think the problem with the world today is that men (and women) don't wear proper hats anymore.

Since I had a week of vacation this month, I saw the possibility to find something that might fit the theme.

All from a small town close to where I live.
