I want a compact that doesn't exists

I need a P&S for general family use, travel etc. Lugging around a DSLR is not always practical, especially with 2 kids and a photography-fobic wife.
For years, my general purpose camera has been an Olympus SP-350 that recently died. The feature I like most about it is raw capability. I can't live without raw.
BUT! As a boy scout adult leader (and a boy scout at heart) I do a lot of outdoors. I have yet to find something to replace my good old Pentax Zoom 90-WR. YES film! I love that waterproof camera but it finally started to fail. My second water resistant is a Nikonos IV underwater, again film.
So here is my problem: There is no weather sealed P&S that shoots raw!

How is the image quality of the WG-2?
The MX-1 is tempting. Are there weather protectors or housings for it?
How about a K-01? Are there underwater housings or at least some weather protection available for it?
Any other alternatives out there?

Yes, the camera you want doesn't exist, but you might get close.

First, as someone who owns two K-01s, I'd say it's a GREAT camera for family photos. It's durable (although not waterproof) and the RAW quality rivals the K-5II. Also, since you use the LCD to compose I've found it makes it easier to get candid photos of friends and family. I have a relative who "tenses up" every time I bring one of my DSLRs up to my face so I can look through the viewfinder; you can be more discrete when composing with the LCD. There are no dedicated underwater housing for the K-01 that I am aware of but several companies make underwater bags designed to hold DSLRs and compacts. Those "bags" shouldn't be used for deep sea diving but you can use them for rafting, playing at the swimming pool or even light snorkeling as long as you don't go deep.

Alternatively, there is the weather-sealed Olympus OM-D E-M5 ... a great 16mp micro 4/3 camera with lightning quick AF that is relatively small with a great variety of lenses available (although most of the micro 4/3 lenses aren't weather sealed so you should be careful). Of course, weather-sealed is not the same as "waterproof" so if you plan to submerge the camera in water then I'd recommend a bag similar to what I described for the K-01.

Don't know you budget, but the Sony RX100 captures RAW. I've found underwater casings but they are $1000+

Everything I've read is that the WG-X series image quality has gotten better and better. I have the Opito W80 (acquired in 2009) which has issues in low light but when I'm out and about, or in the water, it's still going strong. I can say that if it died tomorrow. I'd upgrade to the WG-2 or WG-3 in a heart beat. The are more rugged, have that cool set of macro led's for very close photography, and the image quality is much much better.
