Works for me with the Focus Assist turned off, no AF lamp.
The AF lamp flashes once after a shot is taken, must be a fault with mine?

ps. I've got black tape over the assist lamp because its always flashing when taking shots, cant stand it.
This is what I was reading first
Mine doesn't flash when taking a shot.

But...

....you're right - there's a quick flash after the shot is taken (hadn't notice before). Again, I think you're right - a bug as it's pointless to flash an AF light after a shot. Another reason why WE NEED a firmware update to cure this and other bugs (non-inherited video setting when using the red button)

By golly, you're right! It's just a split second, but there it is! ... I think I'm gonna live with it, though. :-)

Love my case [ebay] and Prodot shutter button [ebay]
Very nice-looking case!! May have to buy that one over the other kind that screws onto the bottom and thus blocks easy access to the SD/battery slot.

I was searching forever for the right case, so happy with it.

I have the same case, works very well with the Pentax. The shoulder strap is very slippery though, I swapped it out for a Domke gripper strap. I also added a small Optech neoprene battery holder to the strap for a spare battery.

Hi,

Did you install the grip? Did it make a change to the handling?

Are there any alternative lens caps that fit on this camera?

I know some people like to use the Self-Retaining lens caps.
I'm not a fan though

Thanks for the quick reply.

I should have added any alternatives apart from the auto lens cap? Haha

Does it just use a 49mm lens cap?

I can attest to the usefulness of a Gordy's camera strap. It feels really nice on my MX-1 and looks pretty good, too.

What do you guys dislike about the auto lens cap. Is it the aesthetics, or functionality? I hate how the lens tries to force its way through the original cap. I feel like something is going to break.

That's a good looking strap!

I have a Gordy's strap for my OMD E-M5. An excellent strap!
