Really like this one, Catriona!
Looks like a natural b&w and has a great sombre mood - if it wasn't for the "silver lining"

The lighting was that bizarre muddy clay color you see reflected. Very surreal.

Couple cell phone pics - commute to work, upper right is the cell phone bracket you see:

As long as I can still tell what the original subject is then it's okay. I copied the rules from the last one so I actually don't know what's considered heavy post-processing. But if it looks like a photograph and not like it was run through a PS art filter then it's not heavy to me.

If you feel this strays too far from the intent of this month's competition, no problem, I'll withdraw the post.
I think it's fine. It's what you would encounter in your daily routine.

Great entries everyone.

I'm also retired so no work related... but I can be banal! And archival where necessary.

Hello everybody!

I think I have something... and it seems I'll be inaugurating this contest.

Don't even try to read what is written on that paper...
Camera: Pentax Optio30, shot is 5 minutes old. Macro mode, ISO 200, exposure 1/8th sec.
I *really* like this, GT! Bravo!

Thanks, Bart... that was a weird day, I had gone to Sydney for the day and had taken "proper" cameras with me, but they never made it out of the bag, it was 4S all the way. It does the job when needed

Here's my first go here....

All taken this week with the MX-1:

Can't function without a slug of coffee in the morning, and none of that decaffeinated muck either. It's fully leaded to get me going:

And here's me at the station this morning on the way into London. It was pretty hot today and I had tons to carry, so I didn't cycle for once:

And the view as I walk into the stairwell at work in London. Had to avoid reflections (of me) with this one, but it's looking through three fire doors towards a distant meeting area (ISO 640 - quite usable):

Cheers,

Jon

Tried to buy the rhino but they wouldn't sell. The board game table was over 6ft and hand crafted/painted. selling for $2100 with 4 matching gaming stools and all handmade gaming pieces
