Pentax Compact Camera Post Processing Contest #14

The Rules
1. Have Fun!
2. Use any Post Processing Software and techniques.
3. Entries will close on August 28, 2013.
4. Maximum image dimensions for entries are 1024x768 pixels
5. Max of 3 image entries per person. Entries may be withdrawn or changed
6. List software used, as well as your method, with your entry so we can all learn.
7. There are no limits or restrictions - make the subject image into whatever you want!
But please do not copy or alter other entries....
8. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date, and judge’s next competition

Sorry for the delay with getting the next round started. Nothing was striking me as a fitting image for the challenge, so I kept going further and further back in my archive... This one is from 2005 in Las Vegas. Have fun!

Added black sky, fireworks and then a light varied color overlay, straightened and cropped the image

No godzilla from me, I'm afraid

I began with some recovery of highlights in LR4 and then I tried to use a perspective correction and crop with DxO Viewpoint, as a plug in from LR4.
That result, I used in Topaz B&W effects2 where I tried out 3 interpretations.
It works with quite a long list of presets that you can then fine tune.

What strikes me is that you can come out of Topaz B&W effects2 with colours

Included are JPGs of the RAWs as captured by the camera.
Nice work on your processing here, but this processing challenge is specifically for the image at the top of the thread. If you want to participate, you'll want to grab a copy of that image, edit it, then post your edited version back to this thread. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for participating! I enjoyed all the images here. I am late so making this quick.

Runner up is Ivoire (thanks for the reminder).. Very nice work turning the scene into a fireworks celebration.
Winner is samtr87. Perfect thing to do with this and very well done.
