Point & Shoot Competition #69: It feels like summer

Topic for this month will be "It feels like summer".

The rules are simple, I want your photo to make me feel like summer, on the cold Sydney winter mornings, I want to wake up, look at it and I want it to make me feel warmth through out the body. I will be judging on compositions, esthetics, engagement and overall feel of the photo, not on the technical capability, afterall, I used a ~45 year old, half broken camera in the previous contest... Feel free to submit something from your archives, especially for us in the southern hemisphere. Contest will close 11:59 PM on 8/31/13 AEST (that's 31/08/2013 australian eastern standard time .

And if you could (not required), I would appreciate all three submissions be in one post to make easier to keep track. Feel free to edit the post as needed.

I will cheat a bit and post a photo my dad took with his K5 which totally breaks the entry rules. But it's a photo to get the ball rolling in the right direction. So let the entries begin!

The Rules

1. Have fun!
2. Cameras:
No cameras with sensors larger than 1".
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras.
No 35mm(D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted ( cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above)
Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital rangefinder and viewfinder cameras.
Interchangeable or fixed-lens 110film SLRs and Pentax Q.
TLRs, 6x9, 6x7, 6x6, Medium Format "folding", "box", or "Holga-style" scale focus cameras ( subject to 1kg weight limitation).

3. Entries will close on Aug 31, 2013 Midnight CST.
4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.
5. 1 image per camera. Unless you own only 1 applicable camera, then you can post 3 images.

6. List camera brand, model, with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.
7. Post processing is fine, but no heavy processing (e.g. HDR, panorama).
8. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.
9. HAVE FUN!

It felt like summer on March, 9th when I took this:

I can't retrieve the original, it must have been wiped. It was captured with a Nokia 500, anyway.

Great entries, G.T and ivoire.

Just in time, actually since summer seems to be dying down over here.

Ivoire, I can't see your 3rd entry.

Here are a few, but I have a feeling they will change. All taken with a Galaxy SII

This one is representative of what summer afternoons are like here. It's just missing the thunder and lightning

Thanks Sam, much appreciated. Your beach shot has stirred my desire for a trip to Florida!

2. Inside the Triptaprism - 7mm, ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/100

Fine entries! I especially like the 3rd one. And I'm amazed at the almost deserted summer beach. Over here you have to look real hard to see any sand this time of the year

Wow, a summer feel in winter. Perhaps I should relocate

I also use DxO by the way.

That one was from April (spring everywhere else, but basically the start of summer in FL) so it wasn't so crowded yet. Right now you mostly see beach chair and umbrellas.

I also found this... it will be my second entry:

Late spring, early in the evening.
Pentax Optio P80, ISO 800, 1/60s f/5.8.
