Mx1 third party battery

Hi all. Has Anybody used a third party battery, the DLI-106, in a MX1. Or is it just not the thing to do?

Third party batteries are hit and miss. Some of them work fine, others don't even have the same specs that the sticker states. Depends, but IMO it's worth getting OEM batteries as it will give you peace of mind and (usually) better battery life.

As Adam mentioned, it's best to use OEM battery, however, many people here use Wasabi as the back up battery for Pentax Q. They say it's cheap and works great though. Wasabi also have product for MX-1. So, I would guess you could try and might love it. It's available on Amazon, too.

You can also try this battery (or third party batteries manufactured to this specification):
Samsung IA-BH125C

We have 2 of them and they work exactly as the Pentax original battery.

I bought the Watson version from B&H. Don't. It does not fit.

I bought these:
Rechargeable Li ion Battery D LI106 for Pentax MX 1 MX1 x 90 x90 Digital Camera | eBay

They work fine in the MX-1.

3rd party batteries can be spotty - I've not have problem with wasabi power or maximal power branded batteries that I have bought through amazon, however.
