Pentax MX-1 Raw Samples

Hi,

When I was researching into the MX-1, I struggled to find decent RAW samples to play with and test. I've only used the camera a few times but I thought this might be useful for anybody thinking of purchasing the camera.

Underneath each image is a link to the DNG.

When I've taken more I'll be more than happy to share them. Have fun.

The MX-1 is turning into a well kept secret.
~~I'm so impressed with mine that my K-01 with a couple lenses is now for sale on gumtree..~~

Before I bought, I checked around for RAW samples and found a good selection here:

@Steve.Ledger -- well, it's going to stay a well-kept secret unless you tell us what's so great about it! Since you are selling a K-01, with superb image quality, there must be something about the MX-1 that makes it very special.

How about a mini-review from a very happy owner?

Nice shots. What are those pink/white blocks? They look tasty.

They look like coconut squares, they all looked gorgeous but these where on the edge of the stall and made it easier to photograph, I'm a wimp at street photography lol

I've had more time to play with the camera and still think its great, no RAW files to share this time but a few more examples:

Nice shot! I'm actually quite impressed with the IQ. Given the price right now it's definitely a steal. I already have the GR but I also have 4 other cameras as well. Why not make it 6?

I just found that the free version of DXO Optics pro (8) does a very good job with the MX1.

Even the standard settings are better IMHO than OOC jpegs, and much better than the supplied Silkypix.
