I was never really happy with my images until I did this crop...

Edit: I just don't know which one I like best - the color or the B&W version of this picture. Right now, it's the color one

Fine results, Christian!

Too bad about the lonely bench, though

I guess having the exact same crop is a bit boring... so I deleted the colored version of it on the post above, and the lonely bench makes its way back as my 3rd entry

I just gotta say I'm amazed that I can crop up this much and still have so much detail in the picture. I do have to look into an MX-1 at some point for my pocketable solution. (which I hope it will work well for... I have large pockets lol)

Indeed ample detail to allow for a drastic crop.

Love that entry #2, ivoire! Great work bringing out the colors of that bench, especially.

I really like your 3rd entry, ivoire.
The scene seems to look better in that orientation

Great b&w as well

OK guys, I'm back home and finally recovered from a 10 day respiratory infection. so now that i feel like a human again:

@todd... your first entry is my favorite. The red on bnw effect is a great touch

@shin888.... have to agree with todd on your 2nd entry. Made me think about perception ie how we see things

@Bart... like your 3rd entry of bnw the best. the grain and faded/foggy effect on the distant buildings adds a lot to the image

@ChristianRock... the panoramic effect and colors in your 2nd entry add a new perspective. like this one a lot

Thanks Bart. The 2 months in India was great but returning in those flying petri dishes for 18hrs leaves something to be desired.

I enjoyed the varied takes on my image. The first thing I noticed is that no one removed the bird droppings from the bench but that was the first thing I did when I processed this file. Not sure what that says about me.

This month's winners are:
Third place: Bart - Your B&W is cool but I like this dreamy view best.

Second place: Todd - A classic take on the Peace Bridge with a little something extra!

And the first prize (and the honour of hosting next month) goes to: ChristianRock - The crop is very effective as is the very punchy, cartoon style.

Congrats to everyone, especially to ChristianRock who also won me over tonight with his entry in the Project 52 challenge over in the Weekly Challenge section of the forum!

Thank you very much! That was a lot of fun. So many great, creative entries, so I'm of course very honored!

I'll get a new thread started tomorrow, probably at my lunch break.
