Elegant solution for shooting in bright sunlight with the MX-1 LCD screen?

I ran into one of the limitations of the MX-1 while in the desert this past week and wonder if anyone has come up with an elegant solution for mitigating the difficulties of using the LCD screen in bright sunlight?

For my Q I have adapted an LCD loupe made for the Nikon J1 series for this purpose.
I am not sure of the relative position of tripod socket to the lcd on the MX-1 but it may be worth investigating.
For the Q I had to file the loupe frame attachment hole to give it bit of shift to the left.

Edit: There is also a version with adhesive frame if the tripod one wont work, considering the flippy screen on the MX-1.

Or you could just spring for the original Hoodman.

In any case maybe that gives some ideas.

I just hold my Hoodman HoodLoupe 3.0 between the LCD and my eye, no need to fix it on in any way.
Works with the Q and K-01 exactly the same way.

A Bush Hat would make totally no difference whatsoever The biggest issue is your own reflection in the LCD. A wider brimmed hat (like a sombrero) would be fine when the sun is directly above, but not when low in the sky and not behind you when you shoot.
A loupe is the ultimate solution in such conditions.

Quite true. On the other hand, a loupe kind of negates many advantages of a small camera. That's why I personally prefer a viewfinder of some kind - even a low-res EVF such as the one used on the Panasonic LF1. But the "White Magic" rear LCD on the Ricoh GR holds up pretty well in bright sunlight. The Sony RX100 has the same panel. Of course, none of this helps the OP. For him, yes, a loupe is definitely the way to go.
