Auto Flash Question

Hello.

Just received by MX-1 from Adorama. Very nice camera.

A question. The operators manual (pages 208 - 209) states that Auto Flash Mode is supported in Shutter Priority and Aperture Priority shooting modes. However,

Auto Flash is not available on my MX-1 in either any of those modes.

Is this a misprint or is there another setting that is overriding this?

This could be due to the drive mode setting. Is it still greyed in in single-frame mode? Also, have you popped the flash up?

I'm in single frame mode and the flash is popped up. Of course you cannot get to the flash menu unless the flash is popped up.

Same with my MX-1. Must be a manual goof.
