I was thinking no nudity or violence when saying that.

The model shot and the woman making kettlecorn was with the MX-1, the other two were with an old Kodak P850 Superzoom.

Are Sigma merrills allowed? I thought they do not meet the criteria. Cool shot though ivoire.

I guess technically the DP2M qualifies based on the fact that the lens is fixed and the sensor is 35mm size or less. The line that says it qualifies says it should be a rangefinder/viewfinder camera but it's been allowed before.

The Q7 qualifies for sure, there's a line where it is explicitly allowed (all Q's are allowed, from what I understand by reading the 3rd line of the "cameras permitted").

The point is that since a Ricoh GR and the Sigma DP cameras are allowed - and a Sony RX1 would be allowed as well - it's a bit difficult for a compact camera in the classical sense - like my Pentax Optio - to compete with these cameras that give results that are better than most APS-C ILCs out there. And I think that's fine - compacts as we knew them are a dying market and probably won't exist in a few short years.

But I participate anyway, when I'm able, because to me it's about the challenge of taking a picture within the theme. Plus knowing I probably have no chance, takes away any pressure and I can just shoot whatever I want without worrying about what everybody else will think.

@CR...Since the DP#M's were allowed in the last comp I thought I'd drop one in. It's up to GateCityRadio (rule #7) as to its allowance. Keep in mind that he won the last competition using the MX-1. It's not necessarily the tech of the camera that counts in producing great images.

@crewl1...1/1.7" in the Q7 is smaller than 1" sensor so you're good and so is that image! Like it a lot

@Mr Bassie... First one is my favorite and thanks.

@micromacro... very cool image

@Jacquot... Great family shot
