One more at the last minute. Shot with my MX-1. I am really liking this little camera. It is a maple tree in my front yard. It has supplied me with a lot of shots this year.

Two more beautiful entries to close this contest down.

"Officially" closed now.

I'll try to come back with the results as soon as possible.

Today is a special day however and I also have to process a reportage for my employer over the weekend.
I'll do my best.

I already want to thank everyone who participated!
Great entries all!

I've had a really hard time narrowing this down.
To do this, I simply go by how I feel about the image. No analytical, checklist approach for me. Mine is more of a holistic, intuitive and hence, subjective way

As I've already said, and others as well, there are many great entries in this contest.
In fact, there isn't one I didn't like or found somehow less fitting for the theme.
Great work by all who participated!
I give you all an 'honorable mention"

A special mention goes to Eric for still using a defective sensor in an artistic way.
(and for adding Halloween)

You'll notice the rest of my picks are all about leaves by the way.

3rd place
Shared by Jacquot for his straight to the point and creative approach and by barondla for the remaining leaves in the mist. I like the effect mist has on the world.

2nd place
Goes to ivoire for showing in one image the warm colours of the autumn and the aspect of nature fading away.

1st place
Goes to chubasco - Bill.
This beautifully moody image shows the endpoint of autumn where nature has become dead and still.
I guess this appeals to my melancholic nature

So there you have my - very personal - choice.

Congratulations to all the participants, the winners and especially to Bill.

You're up for #84, Bill!

Thanks Bart!

But now that I have received my replacement CCD it remains to be seen if the old Canon's ever gonna take pics again....

thanks/Erik

Autumn is actually my favorite season.
It can present itself in all kinds of forms.

Glorious fall colours,
Dreary rainy days,
Mysterious mist,
Graveyards,
and not to forget, Halloween scenes.

Since half of the world in now in Spring, no time restrictions on the entries.

I'm more interested in the mood than the actual dates anyway.
Like this one that is from September 20th

And this one is from December 30th

(both with Panasonic FX500)

RULES (as per usual):

1. Have lots of fun!
2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1".
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras.
No 35mm (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted (cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above):

Mobile phones, old and new, iPods, tablets, toy cameras.
Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital rangefinder and viewfinder style cameras.
Interchangeable or fixed-lens 110film SLRs and Pentax Q.
TLRs, 6x9, 6x7, 6x6, Medium Format "folding", "box", or "Holga-style" scale focus cameras ( subject to 1kg weight limitation).

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close on Friday October 31st, 2014 at Midnight (gmt).
4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.
5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.
7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

9. Feel free to post a shot ( not judged) which shows off your setup.

I look forward to all your entries! Give me a hard time judging
And do have fun!

Bart
I can see you are more interested in mood...You capture it very well.....there's magic in those photos!
