Point and Shoot Competition #83 - Autumn

Autumn is actually my favorite season.
It can present itself in all kinds of forms.

Glorious fall colours,
Dreary rainy days,
Mysterious mist,
Graveyards,
and not to forget, Halloween scenes.

Since half of the world in now in Spring, no time restrictions on the entries.

I'm more interested in the mood than the actual dates anyway.
Like this one that is from September 20th

And this one is from December 30th

(both with Panasonic FX500)

RULES (as per usual):

1. Have lots of fun!
2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1".
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras.
No 35mm (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted (cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above):

Mobile phones, old and new, iPods, tablets, toy cameras.
Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital rangefinder and viewfinder style cameras.
Interchangeable or fixed-lens 110film SLRs and Pentax Q.
TLRs, 6x9, 6x7, 6x6, Medium Format "folding", "box", or "Holga-style" scale focus cameras ( subject to 1kg weight limitation).

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close on Friday October 31st, 2014 at Midnight (gmt).
4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.
5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.
7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

9. Feel free to post a shot ( not judged) which shows off your setup.

I look forward to all your entries! Give me a hard time judging
And do have fun!

Bart

Thank you, Bcrary!
1st one was treated with DxO Optics with some basic actions like a small contrast and microcontrast boost. Then I used Silver Efex for the b&w conversion.
2nd one was processed in LR, also some contrast added and clarity and a bit of exposure adjustment.

I will start with one from last year. You never know when a killing frost and a high wind will spoil your fall. We already had a good 20-30 cm of snow a few weeks ago.

Good thinking, Joe.
And a fine entry!

Snow that early in the year? Brr.
Glad I'm living in a moderate sea-climate

I like seeing snow, by the way. If only it could fall away from the roads...

Great opening photos Bart.... would be hard to choose a favorite.

@pntx... very nice depiction of the transitional day, it makes me cold just looking at it

@jmschrei... hard to believe you have snow already. Like your entry and suspect you will have some snowfall fall pics soon

Was out wandering with the DP2M and found a patch of milkweed gone to seed. This one was dancing in the breeze

I'll play again. A kettle hole called "The Devil's Bathtub" in a local county park called Mendon Ponds near Rochester, NY. Taken today (October 4, 2014). I used my new MX-1. ISO 100, 1/200 sec at F2.8. Captured using RAW and a bit of post processing and trimming. Really liking this little camera.

Glad to see the entries flowing in.

Please don't forget to mention the camera used and additional info on shutter speed, aperture, iso is always welcome as well.

I can follow the link to look for the info or use an exif reader but it's easier for everyone to have the info available in the post.

In this context, are you sure ivoire, you consider this camera a point and shoot?
