Thank Jorgario.
MX-1 is really a very good camera. It is not possible to buy a new MX-1,and Ricoh does not release a successor. Ricoh GR is also very good, but for me a little too expensive. I do not know if the prime lens will be good for me. I dream of MX-2: matrix Exmor 1' and which lens quality like MX-1 .

But you can always buy a used one: I saw yesterday at the PF sales a black one !! In my opinion, prime lens are a joy to use, specially the old ones !!

Tomek, those are maybe the best photos I've ever seen from an MX-1. Sorry to read you lost yours.

I felt a little sentimental looking at them, as I went to Zamosc with my ex-wife several years back. (when some of the buildings in the city center were under construction) There is a busy road inside that old fortress wall. I crossed it illegally (jay-walked) across that street and almost got flattened. I'll never do that again, in Europe. The food there was great and the Polish people are friendly. It was rainy and gloomy when I went there.

As for an MX-2, I'm with you there. I think the closest thing there is to an MX-1 is an Olympus XZ-2. The Olympus XZ-1, XZ-2, and Pentax MX-1 all use the same lens; original design was by Olympus, I believe.

As a replacement, you might also consider a Pentax Q7 or Q-S1.

unfortunate.
Sometimes one pops up on the UK pentax forum at reasonable price.

In meantime, we'll post some more pics..

Hello Tomek,

I just saw your news, about the loss of your camera, and was sorry about it.

The photos you have posted on your thread have been excellent: you must, one way or another, get a new camera, or a "new old" camera. Otherwise I shall miss the enjoyment of seeing your images of Poland.

Agreed at 300%: you should buy a used camera ... meanwhile waiting for Tomek pictures I post mines:

thanks guys
Now I'm waiting for Ricoh MX-2 with matrix 1 inch, and touchscreen. In the meantime, I bought a used Panasonic LX100 from my friend. It cost as much as used MX-1. LX100 is a great camera, but in this thread I can not show LX100 photos.

Being the creator of this thread, you can maybe change the title to a more general setting ...

Thank you, Tomek, for another very pleasing image.

As an aside, because of the great interest in the full-frame K-1 I have rather "taken my eye of the ball" regarding the MX-1, or even a successor camera.
