2nd one is great with the speck of vivid colour against the snow.
1st one lets you enjoy the winter scenery from the warmth of the inside.

Bird Bath Of Snow.

Biggest snow in ages hit us last night. Couldn't resist a second entry. This cut down on my bird photography. Canon SX110IS thru glass window.

Enjoying these entries! We recently got just a skiff of snow, would be laughable to post...

Great entries everyone. Thanks for posting. Deciding on a winner was very tough.

First Place
“Snow no Go” by barondla. Although there is not a lot of visible “snow,” the image of a bus literally frozen to the ground is quite compelling. Nice tonal range considering the bright lighting condition
Second place
The cat in the window by Sagitta. Even though you can’t see the cat’s face, the light/dark contrast and window juxtaposition conveys an impression of “I’m trapped and want out.”

Third place:
Snowvember storm by zman. The lonely, solitary figure digging his way out of a snow-covered landscape encapsulates the “snowed in” theme. The noise and low light enhance the ongoing storm.

I'll add my congrats to the winners, too, and looking forward to Barondla's choice for the next contest! A suggestion: Mermaids, Unicorns, and Leprechauns, just to make it challenging, lol. I'd have as much chance for that as 'Snowed In'. j/k

Congratulations to barondla and all the winners!
Thank you T_MB for hosting and judging this challenging contest.

chubasco, I like how you think Wonder, if I disguise a zoo sea turtle, it could count as a mermaid?

Thanks to T_MB for running a super contest. Great job. Nice entries everyone. Takes a little more effort to get out in the powder and shoot. #88 is up. Shoot whatever you want! Larger sensor cameras are allowed for this particular contest.
thanks

Congrats to all. I confess that, although I keep saying "give me snow" when the weather hits 40ēC+ over here, I doubt that I could cope with that much of it. Well done, all of you.
