And happy to help

I like the reflections and thetight composition in the 1st one.

You got a great out of focus rendering in the 2nd one.
Thanks, Bart. Interesting you should comment on the OOF, I was quite surprised it came out so well. I was sitting about 5 feet from the web, and the web was actually quite close to the tree behind it. Normally it would all end up in focus. The camera is better than I gave it credit for, initially.

I like them both, Sue, how do you like Perfect Photo Suite 9, and are you using it as a standalone or plugin? I noticed they have a 30 day free trial and everything is 25% off.

Standalone, I didn't have Ps installed at the time. I took the 25% off last month. It's worth getting the trial, I didn't and jumped right in. The advantage in jumping are the preset freebies you get, also

A couple more entries, from my Sony DSC-P200 that should, by all intents and purposes, be in the trash by now... it's 10 years old (bought it in 2005) and was never kept in any sort of case.

The lens doesn't zoom anymore, the beauty ring around the lens is gone, and it's de-centered (top right in landscape position gets very smudgy).

So, should I throw it away? Nah, I'll keep it just take pics for the point and shoot competitions

Thanks Bart! For certain things it still works. But mostly, it just shows its age by now...

Your B&W shots are impressive, btw! Lovely street photography on that 1st one.

Pentax MX-1 Late Winter Snowshoeing Views Plus a Scene From Last Fall

Attached are three scenes taken with a Pentax MX-1.

Last week I went snowshoeing through the Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa Canada. Mer Bleue is a 3,500-hectare conservation area which has a northern eco-system more typical of the Arctic than the Ottawa Valley. On my walk I saw a young tree still sporting last year's leaves and later a "frightening" forest monster.

As a third entry, I have included a scene taken last Fall while visiting Prince Edward Island.

cannonball !!!!

This one taken at the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls, Ontario looking down at the swimmers from the top of a tubing slide. What began as a birthday treat for my three grandchildren (all born within thirty days of each other) has become an annual celebration. Year 4 is coming soon.

Taken with my WG-2 at f4.2 , 1/50 sec, ISO 500, that now belongs to my grandson (trying to get him hooked early).

You really captured the fun of the event.
