Speaking of small old cameras, I need to get myself another Sony DSC-P200, it sells for only 20 dollars or so. It would be my third one... had one bought new in 2005 that lasted many years of abuse. Then got another a couple years ago that my son quickly destroyed (he dropped it with the lens extended, it fell on the lens).
It's a seriously good camera with a larger than usual CCD sensor (still not as large as a lot of premium compacts, but 1/1.8" with Zeiss designed optics is certainly capable of taking good pictures still...)
I feel the same way obout a Fuji S1000 that was 10mp and a sweet little camera. It would lock up when very cold and I threw that thing more than once at a garbage can....lol. Then would dig it out days later and it would always work really good for a while. Paid $40 at a pawn shop about 8 years ago....I want another...lol.

I shot this several years ago with a cheap little Canon 430 ? 360? Something like that...I don't remember but it was a decent little 5mp point and shoot.
Near Ajo Arizona on the Gunnery Range. Chuckwallas in a rock crevice...look closely....there is Two in there.
Wonderful image!

OOOOOO!! That *is* larger than the average. I think the Oly is 1/2.5 or something tiny like that. My XZ is 1/1.63 and I'm never giving that up, even if I go weeks without using it.

White Pocket Arizona 2010 Submission #2

This is White Pocket Az. Taken with a Fuji S1000fd 10mp point and shoot (Loved this Camera). This little Fuji camera was on three continents and travelled 250,000 miles with me. It ended up in a garbage can more than once because it locked up when very damp and cool. I used the water to maximize reflection. Straight from camera JPG.
Enjoy. 10-09-2010. The next day was 10-10-10 and I was at the "WAVE" in the Coyote Buttes area......everyone knows what they were doing on 10-10-10 Don't they ? This was a surreal day for me.....I will never forget it.
If anyone ever wants to go I know all the ropes and roads to get there.....PM me.....You wont ever forget it !

I really like that, Bill!
Especially the light under the covered bridge and the look through it.

I finally got around to selecting some of my images for entering.
All with Panasonic FX500.

For some reason, they all turned out b&w

Two from a walk in Ghent, beginning of last Autumn.

And then one from a walk in the woods close to where I live from two weeks ago

Nice set, Bart. I really love the light in the first one, its beautiful.

And, you've reminded me that we can submit three. It had been so long since I was in, I totally forgot. Must see what else I have before time's up.

Which I did right away...
Here's a couple from the Panasonic TZ60

First, with a bit of help from Perfect Photo Suite 9, a couple of 4Wds in the street

And second, a spider web in the front yard.

Thanks, Sue!
And happy to help

I like the reflections and thetight composition in the 1st one.

You got a great out of focus rendering in the 2nd one.
