With that or a fisheye lens I'm afraid I'd loose interest quickly, or use it too few times for the price. Being able to use your phone's GPS would be a nice addition for Pentax / Ricoh cameras.

Actually its really fun. You just use it in ways and at times you've never used a camera or a phone -

and do things at the regular times you can't do with a phone (such as social event usage). It renders and interesting new take on Street. It can be the Ultimate Selfie machine. It takes the concept of Pano to a new level.

You have to relax your visualization constraints.

[EDIT: extension of the concert idea below (perhaps localized for Cardinal Nation) - imagine a Theta shot from the Field Boxes in a Sold-Out Busch Stadium after a 'Big City' Walk-Off Home Run!]

I think it would be amazing for events like concerts and weddings. When the souls love to see an action and the crowds response.

Only has one lens and a 214 degree maximum view without repositioning according to material I read at Amazon. Runs $319 to $369 depending on which accessory bundle you pick.

They both look like fun products. The Kodak is aimed at the GoPro crowd.

The Theta is definitely worth trying out IMO. I think a lot of serious photographers will overlook it because it looks like more of a toy, but it certainly revolutionizes the traditional approach to photography.

Geotagging is already supported by the Theta, see:

I was referring that the way geotagging work with the theta (using your smartphone) could be used by Pentax cameras with wifi as K-S2 and FluCard. Then no need for O-GPS1, that takes flash and is not small.
