Mist on the water

Mist on the water - a cold autumn morning at Mosquito Creek, Queensland, Australia. (It was cold enough for me at 1.5C or about 35F. I know that is relatively warm for some!) PP in Photoshop Elements 12 and light cropping.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1, 6.0mm (35mm equivalent: 28mm), f 6.3, 1/400 sec, ISO 80.

Thanks, Bart. It was just "there" as I drove past on my way to do other things. I didn't think I could get the rising mist, but I was lucky. Just a humble farm dam really.

This photo my daughter “Jessica” created in 2006 when she was 4 with her Nikon E2200. As she is 12 and our house rules do not allow her to yet have any account where there is forums (or facebook) I am entering it for her. She took this outside our home where I just had given a lesson on photographic composition. This was 1/130, 4.3 at iso 50 done in AE mode. For the record she now has been stealing my K5 or K3 when I am not using them but I have been encouraging her to develop her talents. Hopefully another Pentaxian.

A nice image. Kids seem to pick up composition easily.

Great shots, Bart. To me they suggest a cold, smokey early morning in the Fall.

Thanks PJ and Bart I let her know. I agree Kids seem to freely do what some Adults struggle with. I have to wonder if it because they don't worry as much about the consequences that Adults do. Anyways your comments inspired here do do some more photography yesterday.

I got some more beach time this last weekend. While the wife was attending a medical conference, I took my Oly out and played in the mud (literally). The location is a beach resort right up by the US/Canuckian border, and on a minus tide you can walk out forever... (see separate link at Low_Tide_view but that's only for scale... I was able to play with the super-Macro mode on the ZX-1 and got some nice close up shots of the tiniest sand dollars I've ever seen, plus a nice bald-eagle pic and many other keepers... A fun weekend!

Photos from my recent hiking trips in Mt Bogong, one of the highest mountain in Australia. Taken with Q7 + 02 lens. It is my first bush walking trip solely with Q7. Pretty impressed by the potential in this tiny camera!
