Using the Theta with thick mittens results in a big furry blob taking over the photos. I'd like to see the next iteration of the Theta a little longer, perhaps more cylindrical like a section of a monopod, and possibly even extendible like a monopod with the shutter button further away from the lenses so that hands and gloves appear smaller.

Was experimenting with long exposures with my Theta S. The app crashed whenever I had an exposure of more than 10 seconds. Did anyone else have the same issue? I had to increase the ISO in order to keep the shutter speed to less than 4 seconds. Also, it would be nice if the manual mode by default shows the proper shutter speed and iso for the scene. It would then be easy to modify the parameters or else it is a huge trial and error experiment to nail the exposure.

LG just entered the 360 camera market with their very theta like camera called "LG 360 CAM". The lens looks a little different from Theta S and m15 so I don't think the guts of this is a Ricoh design.

Ricoh is my jam, and I already have the wonderful Theta S, so I'm not shopping for a new 360 camera at all, but I LOVE that more are being made by so many different companies. I hope to see support really start to increase!!

Ricoh started the whole 360 trend, and now that it seems to take off, Ricoh are 2-3 years ahead of the rest. This can only mean good for Ricoh. I have heard that the Theta series are a money machine. And its easily improved to keep up the lead.

Let's hope that Ricoh can take some friction out of the workflow. Right now, it take over twice as long to download, process, and share photos with the Theta, and the website is in desperate need of help. Until then, it was unseasonably warm yesterday...

Those people appear to be looking at the Theta pretty hard. Looks like they're waiting for it to do something. Shoot out lasers or whatever.

I haven't taken the Theta S out much lately, but today I had the opportunity to take it to the Mecum Auto Auction in Kansas City, MO. It was perfect!

I totally agree. Ricoh Theta was a game changer for 360 photography. Samsung camera looks nice but it only works with Samsung phones, which kind of sucks for people with other brand phones. I am waiting to see how the LG camera works. I am hoping 360 photos become more common with all these new players. Right now it is a pain to process and upload them on web.
