theta hosting

A friend of mine is asking if theta photos have to be on ricohs site or are we able to host then ourselves?

So the theta produces normal JPEG images just like any other camera. The thing is that special software is needed to display them spherically. Photos uploaded to theta360.com can be embedded on other sites (just like youtube videos), but if you want to host everything locally, you'd need to get a spherical viewer.
