MX-1 in montreal

Took the MX1 as a quick street photo camera to my trip to montreal. After editing these in lightroom I quickly learned that noise and sharpness do not matter all that much. If I only had just my K-01 (my second camera I took) I would have been swapping lenses back and forth and losing so many on-the-go shots. This is an amazing street camera. I had more fun shooting with this than the K-01

hi. I too use the MX-1 for travelling. I think its top notch. Sharpness from this camera is excellent. Gets a bit noisey on higher iso's but don't go too high really. Just wish they would make the MX-2. To be fair, then lens swap issue could be resolved with a zoom lens. That said, I took a K5 away once with a 50mm prime & a sigma 10-20mm. But with the heat I just found the weight on long walks a bit uncomfortable. Off to Asia soon and would love to be taking the K5 but from previous holiday experiences I know I'm gonna be better off with the MX-1.

The MX-1 is a wonderful and useful camera. I got mine a few weeks later is was made available and is one of the best purchases in my life.
Its 1.8 lens is great and the exposure compensation wheel is one of the most useful features ever.

Actually last year I planned to buy a Olympus XZ2. But I couldn't find one. Saw a discounted MX-1 and took that instead. Still happy with it, the black color goes away and it makes awesome pictures. My best travel camera and I don't think there is anything seriously better with that size at the moment.

I think the same. Besides, how much will it cost to have an f/1.8-2.5 lens on a DSLR?
