i, for one, would like to see them focus more on firmware improvements and fine-tweaking through firmware of current popular models.

also would like to see them focus more on developing better lenses (WR, silent, precise & reliable lens motors, focus limiters where there would be the need etc.)

on the other hand i understand that today, if you don't blindly run towards megapixels, millions of ISO and crap like that, focusing on fine sensor tweaks/optimisations, refining and releasing a mature product would push you towards death as a company because the other guy(s) that just released a new batch of "new" models

it's the way of the world i guess but at the same time i feel the harsh whip of this "World Economy" as it is now will push us all into a new paradigm (hate to use this word)

Ricoh/pentax R&D can innovate just look at theta. Just like that they created hole new niche. So compact with gr DNA with monochrome and ff would so ground breaking. And off cose you will get that new AF

Dear Ricoh, can you please make two compact high iso capable 16 or 18 megapixel APS-C and Full Frame camera, with a BSI CMOS sensors, more focus points, better tracking of moving objects, 2 SD card slots, improved focus peaking, better dynamic range than the K-5 series cameras, and at least 1/250 flash sync speed?

Maybe keep it under the Ricoh name, and people here won't be so offended.

Seriously, I think from previous discussion that the main objection was fear of adapter issues. Personally, I don't think that an OEM adapter from Pentax would have issues with sloppy tolerancing or poor electrical contacts etc, so I don't see that as a problem. But what would I know? I only used to be in charge of design at a precision engineering facility. Maybe others have different issues in mind.
