We have arrived at the last day . I'll pick a winner and announce my choice tomorrow morning. Anybody want to submit an entry, or entries, today is your last chance.

And the winner is:

Clockworkrat.

What can be more a public object that nobody pays any attention to than lights on tall light poles? But what makes the photo , in my mind, is the balance that draws the eye back into the photo and the fact that the lights become more like free standing art sculptures in a mode in which their true purpose of lighting is not functioning. Another thing about it is that you don't know what they are meant to light and only see their relationship to the moody cloudy sky. They could be anywhere in the world.

I won't say who is second or third. All entries that were submitted seriously were good and appreciated. I just think the "winner" was the best answer to the subject and most appealing to my subjective judgement..

Well this feels odd. I honestly can't remember ever winning a competition.

Cheers though.
