After a long and studied debate with myself I have come up with the a list of winners. I will tell you that shots that didn't make it might have made it had I been in a different mindset or mood and that within the winners there was debate with myself as to ordering them. Everyone who submitted something really had a great contribution to the thread and I thank you.

So despite the caveats - here are the winners in reverse order:

3rd Place - John5100 with a brooding sky rendered in B&W

2nd Place - Barondia with a lovely pale sky rendering and a lightly applied fill flash:

1st Place - Bart with a deceptively simple composition of clouds over a pier. Ironically this was the first picture entered in the contest I think. At the time I had no idea it would be my favorite but I certainly liked it immediately.

Many others were excellent and it was hard to narrow things down. If you did not win it wasn't because your picture was terrible but the competition was so close this time.
