Here's my first submission: Lakeside. Shot at Smallwood Park in Waldorf, MD. I actually stopped the car with my Fiancee riding along to hop out and take it

Sony RX100, JPEG mode, In-camera HDR, nominal settings of f/9.0 1/125 and ISO 125. Edited in Aviary for Saturation, contrast and brightness.

Thanks for the submission - glad you were inspired! Is that the RX100 model 1?

You are welcome! I have another shot planned if I can ever get it all together.

Yep, it's the mark 1! No bloody MK II, MK III, or MK IV.

I bought my RX100 for Christmas, the year it came out in 2012. The upgraded models are appealing, but not enough to spend the money purely on the upgrades.

EDIT: If anyone is interested, the unedited original, and the Non-HDR shot of this image are on my Flickr so you can see the differences.

Great burst of energy from you guys late in the month - keep it coming - all of the shots have something to recommend them from the entire month - but the more the merrier. I'm going to have "fun" picking a winner!

I try to shoot the images for a particular contest during the contest as a creative exercise, but I wanted to enter this one as it's just lovely.

RX100, Straight out of the camera, 1/4s f/1.8 ISO3200. Steadied on the door of my car. I shut the lights and engine off to make the shot more steady.

Creative stabilization is a valid technique. I think all of us have found ourselves out without a tripod on occasion and an opportunity for a shot pops up we can't let go without trying.

Don't know of any other Point & Shoot compact which would give such a clean, noise-free image at ISO 3200. The RX100 is a great camera.

You have to work with what you've got!

It really is. I love mine. It might be the best digital camera purchase I've ever made.
