Looks like I'll start this months contest with the first entry. Inspired by my glass of ice tea while relaxing outside, my version of "Transition" is a melting ice cube, i.e. solid to liquid.

Taken with my Olympus TG-4 P&S camera. I sat the ice cube on a plate of glass over black construction paper and used a small flashlight to get the melted water to appear better. The Olympus was mounted on my Joby table tripod for the shot. Some PP done with Nik Silver Efex.
First entry & right on theme

end of season ...

The flowers in my garden are ending the bloom stage as summer draws to a close. This Black-Eyed Susan is surrounded by only remaining seed heads.

Taken with my Fuji X10 P&S on the Advance Mode / Pro Focus setting to help blur the background. Slight PP using Nik Analog Pro 2 (Thank you Google for this wonderful free editing software).

Lovely images. Did you put the TC in front of the lens? That's very creative.

Thank you, for the kind remarks.

Here is a link I found to see what it looks like: "Free SHIP " Olympus 1 7x Tele Conversion Lens TCON 17 ?EXC ? from Japan | eBay
I see there is a newer model that is rather pricey.

I got this in a bundle with an Oylmpus P&S back in 2004.

It attaches to the Panasonic FZ150 body, at the base of the lens, with a Panasonic DMW-LA5 screw in sleeve. (An $11 find online)

The camera lens then has freedom of movement and no weight attached to it.
Of note: some newer models of the Panasonic no longer have this screw in sleeve option.

Now I'm tracking. it's an auxiliary lens "Teleconverter", I thought it was a rear converter made to go behind an SLR lens. It seems to have really good image quality!

OK team!
We are heading into the final week and we have some GREAT entries so far. We are also in the seasonal transition phase of the year now. Let's see some more entries. Only about 10 days left for this month!
