Great stuff.

Ehpem - love that you used film. Should be worth a few extra points for coolness!

Thank you John I should have posted from film with a Pentax P&S. Maybe I will

I have been feeling guilty about posting that shot because I reread the contest rules and to call Comox my home town is a stretch - my granddaughter lives there and I have been working nearby so I am there quite a bit. But I do live a few hundred km south, so perhaps that is disqualifying. So, I'll look through my Espio 120SW shots for something to post.

Thanks unixrevolution - I shoot a lot of film, and often it seems more awesome to me.

Okay, another photo, this time from the town I live in, on film again, but with a Pentax Espio 120SW and Agfa Vista Plus 200. These storage buildings at a metal supply shop are in fact very cool pieces of north west coast history - they are the on shore quarters for crew from sealing schooners that operated in the Bering Sea in the late 1800s. I wrote about them on my blog at this link. That post has quite a number of interesting late 1800s photos as well.

Interesting image, and thank you for sharing the story behind it on your blog. I found it to be quite fascinating.

Different perspective of the Gateway Arch. I think I'd like to see it in person one day. Thanks.

An interesting piece of history.
Really like the shadows on the wall of the storage building as well.

November is quickly winding down ... only 3 more days to send in some pics.

Be proud ... show me those hometown favorite spots you like to take your visitors to.

Oh, you've hit a soft spot with me. My hometown has several old grain elevators, some deserted, and I love snooping around in them.

And the winner is ...

Thanks to all who participated in the November P&S contest. There were many wonderful submissions and I now have a few more additions to my "bucket list". I'm certainly the least qualified hobbyist to judge anyone's work and now appreciate how difficult a job it can be. That being said, here are the finalists and winner :

3rd Place - mattb123 - "Black Canyon / Gunnison NP. I still get a chill looking down into that canyon.

2nd Place - DeadJohn - "Hudson Yards Scaffolding" . I loved the abstract of it all. So many photo op's in NYC.

1st Place and Winner - dustyroadphotos - "The Test of Time". A beautiful image, terrific post-processing. It's the one I kept going back to.

Congratulations to all. dustyroadphotos, I pass the torch to you for the December P&S contest. Looking forward to it.
