Zoom 90-WR issue

Hi all,

I've been after a Pentax Zoom 90-WR for a while and stumbled across one yesterday in a charity shop/thrift store for the princely sum of £3.00. Having popped a pair of batteries in the camera seems OK as does the remote control but…

As far as I know the LCD panel should display an icon for the remote when it is detached from the camera indicating it's ready for use but this isn't happening and the remote doesn't work… I've popped a new CR 1620 into the remote and pointed it at my digital camera to check it's working but the problem would appear to be the camera itself… Can anybody offer a solution please?

Sorry for being very late on this one. IIRC removing the remote control does not set the camera into remote control mode, to do that you have to select the IR mode from the 'Drive' mode selector. IIRC it offers single, continuous, 12s self timer, 3s self timer and IR modes in sequence (I don't have mine to hand).
