Point and Shoot Competition #114 - Driveways

I have not seen driveways yet so that is this month's assignment. Same rules as last month. Any sort of driveway leading up to a dwelling. It can be occupied or abandoned. Fancy to dirt.

1. Have lots of fun!

2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1".
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras.
No 35mm (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted (cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above):
Mobile phones, old and new, iPods, tablets, toy cameras.
Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital cameras (Fuji X100 and GR OK).
Interchangeable or fixed-lens 110film SLRs and Pentax Q.

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close June 30, 2017 at Midnight (CST).

4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.

5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.

7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

Good choice. Don't think we've had this before. You might want to edit the ending date.
Thanks

Thanks. Hard to get anything done right with a kitten crawling all over the keyboard.

Very refreshing indeed, barondla!
We had a heatwave over here as well.

Interesting to see the fish-eye lens at work.
Great entries!

Thanks Bart. You posted some excellent photos as well. Your Flanders image reminded me of the Tour of Flanders. Which reminds me the Tour de France begins tomorrow. Have the DVR set.
Thanks,

I'm sorry to have skipped a few competitions, real life (and sheep) got in the way. Got very busy with the preparations for the sheep inspection season which have started from last weekend.

I love all driveway entries. I came across a few very steep ones last weekend (July 2), took one too early and had to back up backwards up the hill to get on the road again, because turning my van and making a left turn was impossible, because I would have ended up in a big canal, LOL

Is there no Point & Shoot #113?

Titia, hope the sheep passed inspection. Glad you are back and ready for the next competition. Contest 113 was skipped. Not sure if it was an accident or intentional.
Thanks,
barondla

My own sheep will be inspected in about two weeks, but I'm an inspector myself, so in July and August I'm travelling each weekend throughout my country from North to South and from East to West to inspect the sheep at our members. In between (during the week) I have to register all the inspection results from all the inspectors in the herdbook program and send them to the breeders.

Sorry for the delay in judging. Been battling an ear infection. Didn't want to do any judging while in a bad mood.

First Place is Bart's Farmhouse in Correze, France. I like the timeless quality about. It could have been taken anytime from 1617 to 2017. I like all your shots but to me the farmhouse I like just a little better.

Honorable Mention to barondla for the second photo of your entries. I have done a lot of winter driving in my 66 years, and your second photo just about sums it all up.

Ooops award to me for missing a number in the sequence,

Hope you get well soon gaweidert. Inner ear infection can really take a person down. Be careful.
Thank you for running a fine contest and awarding my photo honorable mention.

Congratulations to Bart for winning the grand prize. It is a beautiful picture. Makes me want to visit France.

Can't wait to see competition #115!
Thanks,
barondla

Indeed! Get better soon, gaweidert!
Thanks for picking my image of the farm in Corrèze.

We like France as well. We take our vacation in France every other year and we haven't ran out of areas to visit yet.

Next contest is up
