Point and Shoot competition #123 - Windows

I'm going back to a subject from several years ago--Windows.

We look into and out of windows all the time. Windows both separate and join us to something else; they are everyday and can be magical--an interface between two or more states or places. They can be transparent and reflect, make shadows. They can be a way of seeing into another place or time, or seeing something in a new way. There's the saying that the eyes are the window into one's soul. They can also just be beautiful all on their own. Use your imagination!

Rules:

1. Always have fun!

2. Cameras:

No cameras with sensors larger than 1" (some exceptions below).
No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use.
No interchangeable lens cameras (some exceptions below).
No 35mm (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1kg.

Cameras permitted (cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above):
Mobile phones, old and new, iPods, tablets, toy cameras.
Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital cameras (Fuji X100 and GR OK).
Interchangeable or fixed-lens 110film SLRs and Pentax Q.

ANY CAMERA BRAND ALLOWED.

3. Entries will close April 30, 2018 midnight EDT.

4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels.

5. List camera brand and model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice.

6. No restrictions on when the entries were taken.

7. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges the next competition.

8. Enter up to three images, however you may change your entries as many times as you like up to the contest closing date/time.

9. Entries will be judged on artistic merit and imaginative interpretation of the theme.

Looking forward to some great photographs! Have fun!

Very expressive framing ... every one in your world ...
Beautiful urban composition ...
Have you thought about how it would look in black and white ...!?

I fooled around with it, but I liked the color version better, especially the orange leaves.

Thanks!

To be 100% sure: Is a Ricoh GR II allowed? I saw the GR is listed as okay but just wanted to double check. Thanks.

My understanding is that it is basically the same camera with some improvements, so allowed! I've submitted GR photos in the past.

In a effort to encourage more entries, here are three I took in the last couple of weeks... The first two are pretty obvious, the last has many things my wife was given from people she cares for, so a different kind of window.
